This team is in desperate need of defense!
Remember 48 hours ago when Chip Kelly and the Philadelphia Ducks were planning to sign Frank Gore and Byron Maxwell? Well Mr. Gore had a last second change of heart to finally leave the NFC and take his talents over to the AFC. ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter is reporting the veteran running back is on the verge of officially agreeing to a three-year, $12 million contract – similar to the one Philadelphia was offering Monday morning.
Indianapolis also made another major acquisition on the offensive end, inking former Houston Texans star wide-receiver Andre Johnson to a deal. Terms of his contract weren’t disclosed. The 33-yar-old wideout was just released yesterday by the Texans and to no surprise was heavily conveyed by a top destination for players of his caliber to be aligned with Andrew Luck. The Eagles now look to plan C at the running back position, after trading LeSean McCoy to the Buffalo Bills and their now epic fail of landing Gore.
Let's try this again: Frank Gore plans to sign with Indy, per source; deal expected to be similar to Philly offer: 3-years, $12M, $7.5M gtd.
