The Rest Of The Miami Heat Players
Following the Game 5 loss, Ray Allen told reporters “I’ve had a great career, I’m content with what I’ve done. It’s hard to think past this moment. In the next couple of days I’ll think about it and see where my true heart lies.”
Shane Battier officially retired from the league yesterday stating, “I gave everything I can to the game” and will be joining ESPN as a college basketball analyst.
The other role players that are unrestricted free agents, especially Rashard Lewis, Michael Beasley, Udonis Haslem, and Chris Anderson probably will make decisions based on the outcome of Bosh, Wade, and James.
The “Big 3” may be ending or they may be exchanging a major piece in allowing Bosh to leave and bringing in Anthony. They may lose James and Bosh to their respective hometown Cavaliers and Mavericks. The organization may be heading into the dreaded rebuilding phase again, but the only thing that is clear is the summer will be interesting for basketball fans everywhere.
