As we write this, the Boston Celtics sit at the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference. They are 2.5 games back from the defending champion Cleveland Cavaliers and are prime position to draft the best player out of the 2017 Draft thanks to the bottom feeding Brooklyn Nets, who owe them their pick for this season and the next. Not to mention the other draft picks they have in the stash.
If all of their top picks flourish, this squad may be one for the books.
One of the big reasons they’ve been dominating in the Eastern Conference this season has been Isaiah Thomas. He is averaging 29.4 points per game, 6.4 assists per game and has been a 4th quarter killer. TD Garden and Celtics fans everywhere are loving it.
In a segment for NBA Inside Stuff, Thomas speaks on getting the respect on his game from people, because of his stature and overcoming the fact he was traded twice to finding a home in Boston. He loves the fact Celtic fans embraced him. Plus, he’s gotten the props from players in the league, including LeBron James.
