Bad news for Houston Texans fans
UPDATE: After surgery, word is Clowney will officially be missing between 4-6 weeks.
The Texans had high hopes for Jadeveon Clowney this season, especially since drafting him #1 overall in this year’s NFL draft. The combo of him and J.J. Watt was poised to give offensive lines nightmares, but that has been put on hold after Clowney’s injury today.
During the second quarter against the Washington Redskins, JC left the game with an apparent knee injury, which he did not return from. Early reports now are saying that he has suffered a meniscus tear that may need arthroscopic surgery and sideline him for 4-6 weeks. The Texans are still consulting with multiple doctors and trainers to know the extent of the damage and determine how much time he will miss from the field.
Clowney ended the game with one tackle in the Texans 17-6 win over the Redskins.
