James Harden Makes History With Ridiculous Triple Double Against 76ers

James Harden has not had as many triple doubles as Russell Westbrook, but he made history on Friday night. The Beard has become the first player in NBA history with multiple 50-point triple-doubles in the same season. He also joined the Wilt Chamberlain and Elgin Baylor club of players who have posted multiple 50-point triple-doubles in their career.

Last night, Harden finished with 51 points, 13-rebounds, 13-assists on the night.

He was three points shy of the point total for a triple double ever. The current record is held by himself and Chamberlain, who scored 53 earlier in the season and in 1967-68, respectively.

Joel Embiid also had a crazy game for the Sixers, but they lost. And compared to Harden’s monster numbers, his 32 points and 7 rebounds were a mere blip on the radar.

FINAL: HOU 123 | PHI 118
