Upon first hearing that Jason Kidd was a candidate for the vacant Brooklyn Nets job we really thought he was a longshot to actually get it. So did most people, but today that longshot is getting the ultimate opportunity. Yes that’s right Jason Kidd is the new head coach of the Brooklyn Nets, as today he signed a contract for 3 years.
Sources say that the Nets will stack Kidd’s coaching staff with whatever help he needs. Only real question we have is how much of a transition will it be for Kidd going from a player to coach immediately. Only time will tell. The Nets will hold a press conference on Thursday to introduce Kidd officially as the new head coach.
