The Brooklyn Nets season is already off to a rocky start, with the NBA today announcing that Jason Kidd will be suspended the first 2 games of the season, after pleading guilty to a DUI, which he was arrested for last year. This just adds another storyline to the already very interesting Nets team that features a core of Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, Joe Johnson & Derron Williams.

Because of the suspension, Kidd will miss two early crucial games against the upstart Cleveland Cavaliers and defending champion Miami Heat. There has been some rumblings out of Brooklyn, that KG has already been unresponsive to playing for Kidd, because of their history playing against each other for over a decade. Only time will tell if the Nets can put it all together and be serious title contenders this season.
