His entire index finger isn’t the only thing missing from his hand
Over the summer, New York Giants defensive-end Jason Pierre-Paul suffered a career setback, when he had a fireworks incident. The mishap cost him a right index finger, which had to be amputated, and prompted the Giants to pull back on their mutli-year extension they had previously offered.
Initially J.P.P. was slated to return to the team at some point this season, but more news surfaces from initial reports of just his right finger. According to ESPN’s Dan Graziano, Jason additionally lost the tip of right thumb from the same incident – which some are even believing his entire right hand was injured. If injury reports hold up, Pierre-Paul could potentially miss the entire season, as he’s yet sign his franchise tender with the G-Men. We just hope his career isn’t over.
