It has been about one year to the day, when Jason Pierre-Paul‘s life changed. The New York Giants defensive end suffered a 4th of July fireworks accident that derailed his contract with the team and kept him off the field for the start of the 2015-2016 season.
To keep people safe and bring awareness to the dangers of fireworks, JPP has teamed up with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission for a public service announcement regarding this holiday weekend.
As you can see, Pierre-Paul had his right index finger amputated thanks to the accident and hasn’t been able to regain his All-Pro form since the incident.
So take it from him on what not to do this weekend.
