Jason Pierre-Paul Speaks To Media For First Time Since Accident

“I Wasn’t Worried At All”

Jason Pierre-Paul may have locked down a new contract with the New York Giants that will extend to the rest of the season, but he still has a ways to go to prove that he is the player he once was after suffering a freak fireworks accident in July. In talking to the media for the first time, he says that him being out there is already a win and has proven all the critics who said he would be out the whole season. He also feels blessed to be alive because the accident could have been worse and his experience in the hospital opened his eyes at how lucky he was.

He will not travel with the Giants this week as the team heads out to Louisiana to play the New Orleans Saints and is expected to make it back between Week 10 and 12.

Although pictures have surfaced that showed his hand after the accident, the one below is the first close-up of his hand since the incident.
