Was the grass not greener? Sources today are reporting that if James Dolan and the Knicks do decide to fire current head coach Mike Woodson, former Knicks head coach and current ABC broadcaster Jeff Van Gundy would be a candidate. This is potential huge news for the Knicks, who have gotten off to a horrible start this season and are looking for any kind of spark to go their way.
Reports are saying that it is so bad for Woodson that he could possibly be out of a job if the Knicks lose to the Nets on Thursday night. The only question at this point is if Van Gundy would be interested in getting back into coaching and trying to steer the Knicks to the promise land. We would love to see Jeff thrown back into the madness that is currently unfolding at Madison Square Garden every night.
