During the 2012 season, the NBA witnessed one of the most remarkable upstarts to an NBA career ever with the birth of “Linsanity.” Director, Evan Leong follows Lin from his childhood in California to his basketball career at Harvard that would lead to his fame last year playing for the New York Knicks.
In the trailer, we see a brief look into life during the struggles of his high school career, minimal interest from universities after having a standout year and being an Asian American un-drafted player. He dealt with harsh adversities professionally, but took advantage of the opportunity former Knicks coach Mike D’Antoni would give him to score more points in his first five starts than any player ever in the modern era of basketball.
The documentary has been screwed at SXSW and Sundance festivals, which will officially hit theaters October 4th. Check after the jump to watch official trailer along with which cities will be holding the movie in theaters.
