Jeremy Maclin Ends KC Chiefs Touchdown-To-Receiver Drought

THE DROUGHT IS OVER! NO WEEZY!

Can you believe that the Kansas City Chiefs have not thrown a touchdown to a wide receiver since Week 14 of the 2013 season? That is a remarkable streak that is confusing, baffling and downright unbelievable. But it’s reality.

In tonight’s game against the Green Bay Packers, Alex Smith finally broke the curse and threw a touchdown to a wide receiver named Jeremy Maclin, ending the drought that had been plaguing them like water in California. Maclin actually went off and caught 8 receptions for 141 yards and the one TD to finish the game.

Of course, that wasn’t nearly enough for the wrath of Aaron Rodgers at Lambeau Field, because he spazzed, throwing five touchdowns on the night. Three were to Randall Cobb, one was to rookie Ty Montgomery and one to James Jones.

The Packers offense was on fire and Rodgers was in rare form, scorching the Chiefs secondary every chance he got. They couldn’t stop him even when they tried.
