Jesus “Tecatito” Corona Scored an Incredible Goal Against Venezuela

We haven’t watched every game of Copa America like we have EURO 2016, but we have definitely caught the Mexico, USA and most matches from Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina.

Although tonight’s Mexico vs. Venezuela game was going on at the same time as the NBA Finals and Playstation E3 press conference, this goal by Jesus Corona was too good and may happen to be one of the best of the tournament thus far.

Down one goal in the second half, Tecatito weaved through numerous Venuzelan defenders and took it to the house in glorious fashion after being substituted. Considering the games are being played in the US, the Mexican crowd at Houston’s NRG Arena went absolutely bezerk, roaring like a home game for the national squad.

Although both of these teams won Group C and eliminated Uruguay in the last game, there were some implications for tonight’s match. For one, the winner of the group would avoid playing Argentina in the knockout stage. With the draw, Mexico sealed the victory thanks to goal difference, but Venezuela fought a hard battle and has proven everyone wrong this tournament.

Tomorrow’s Chile vs. Panama game will determine who plays Mexico in the next round of the tournament.

Either way, Tecatito is on the brink of being a star, right?
