Season ending knee injury

The Seattle Seahawks have recently turned their fortunes around, fighting to stay alive in the playoff hunt, but one of their big offensive weapons has gone down for the season.

Jimmy Graham‘s season was over in the fourth quarter when he ran a fade route in the end zone and went down awkwardly, clutching his right knee. After being carted to the locker room in an air cast it was determined that he tore his patellar tendon in that right knee, officially ending his season in his first year with the Seahawks.

Doctors have determined he will require surgery, but the extent of recovery is not yet known.

Although Graham struggled to become a weapon in which the Seattle offense revolved around this season, he still managed to bring down 48 catches for 605 yards and snag 2 touchdowns on the year, in the 11 games he played with Seattle.

How this will affect the team moving forward remains to be seen, but Russell Wilson was out here slinging a career high 5 touchdowns on the day, throwing three to Doug Baldwin and two to Jermaine Kearse on the day. It seems like the team is clicking on all cylinders and have a good shot to redeem themselves in the NFC Wild Card race if they keep playing the way they have the past few games.
