get the man the ball!
What’s worse than your team being 0-2 to start the season? Being one of the best players on the team and barely getting any touches. Jimmy Graham was supposed to add the x-factor to this high powered Seattle Seahawks offense when they traded for him in the off-season, but it’s been anything but that in the first two games.
On Sunday against the Green Bay Packers, he had one catch for 11 yards on only two targets. It’s no wonder why the tight end is pissed off behind-the-scenes.
Coach Pete Carroll had made it clear that he wanted to involve Graham more in the offense after the first game of the season, but the trend continued and even got worse in the second game. Up to now, he has amassed to his lowest stats since his rookie year, totaling seven catches for 62 yards and one touchdown.
Graham avoided members of the media after the game on Sunday and didn’t seem “too thrilled” in the locker room. Word is he didn’t talk to anyone afterward, because if he would have, it wouldn’t have ended well and he would have went off about what’s happening.
We’ll see if things turn around in the next few weeks, but something is in the water over in Seattle and things aren’t looking good for NFC powerhouse.
