Time to destroy and rebuild in Denver?
Only one day after the Indianapolis Colts defeated the Denver Broncos at home to move on to the AFC Championship against the New England Patriots, word has come from Adam Schefter that John Fox is leaving his post as head coach of the Broncos.
There has been speculation that Peyton Manning could be retiring now that the season has ended, but he’s still trying to process the current loss at the moment. If so, Denver will face an uphill battle, with numerous players becoming free agents and the team on a search of a new head coach. Their defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio is also taking interviews for a coaching job (recently with the Oakland Raiders), so this news might be the first domino effect that starts the chain of events for the Broncos.
John Fox and Broncos mutually agreed to part ways.

John Elway and the Broncos have been disappointed with Fox, losing in the divisional round of the playoffs 3 out of the last 4 seasons, with the one time they made it out, getting blown out of the Super Bowl by the Seattle Seahawks. John Fox now becomes one of the only coaches in NFL to leave their team after 3-straight 12-win seasons.
Stay tuned for more information about this news as the day goes by.
UPDATE: Word around the league is that John Fox will interview for the Chicago Bears vacant head coaching position.
UPDATE: John Elway has stated that Peyton Manning will be involved in the search for the Broncos next coach and he will give him a few weeks to decide if he will return. Elway thinks Manning has one more good year of football left.
Elway: "Peyton is going be involved in the process (searching for new coach)."
