One of the biggest surprises this year for any basketball fan outside of the DMV area (or non-subscriber of NBA league pass) has been the legitimate emergence of the Washington Wizards. Dubbed the backcourt of the future by many, may be viewed upon in a few weeks as the present, pending a deep playoff run. The Wizards are currently leading the Chicago Bulls 2-0 in the opening round playoffs and hold their first home game tonight at 8pm on ESPN.
The network caught up with the two guards in a SportsCenter conversation to discuss their initial lackluster start going 2-7 to start the season. The team would hold a players only meeting and instantly turn around the team to achieve their first winning season and playoff berth in nearly 7 years. This marks the first time John Wall has been in the playoffs and will be looking to lead his team to the second round this weekend, with a match-up set next for the Atlanta Hawks or Indiana Pacers.
