Are the Green Bay Packers out of Super Bowl contention?
The Green Bay Packers run at a Super Bowl may be on hold for another season. With Aaron Rodgers returning to the team finally healthy this year, his top target all-time has suffered a likely season-ending injury. While the Green Bay Packers are awaiting final MRI results, the organization believes the injury is indeed a torn ACL.
The Packers held a pre-season game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, where Nelson landed awkwardly on his left knee and would immediately leave the game help off the field. Green Bay’s offense obviously sees a significant change in their off-season for future heading forward; but more importantly, Aaron will be without his top target this season. Luckily for Packers fans, 22-year-old rising player Davante Adams has shown significant progression this off-season and will be looked to fill some type of void on the team without their top wide-out.
The initial diagnosis on #Packers WR Jordy Nelson is a torn ACL, source said. Horrible news. Awaiting MRI results to confirm.
