Mourinho’s Reign is Over
Chelsea have sacked José Mourinho after two and a half years in his second spell with the club. A disastrous start to the season leaves Chelsea sitting in 16th place in the Premier League table (one point above the relegation zone), winning just four of their first 16 matches of the campaign.
Just last season, Mourinho won Chelsea the Premier League title eight points clear of Man City, along with more success in winning the League Cup. The final straw for owner Roman Abramovich was Chelsea’s 2-1 loss to Leicester on Monday.
