Welcome back to the NBA, Paul George!
For whatever reason, the Indiana Pacers coaching staff decided to have Paul George in the backcourt and not stick to their plan of his origin switch to power forward this year. Thursday night, the Pacers were on the road for a pre-season game against division rival Cleveland Cavaliers, who decided to let their team captain LeBron James rest up for the night. With J.R. Smith inserted into the starting lineup, we expected a lot of nutty plays throughout the night since he wasn’t accountable for watching stats before regular play in two weeks. During the middle of the third quarter when the Pacers took a 20-point lead, J.R. would give those in attendance at least one memorable moment for the night, when he dropped George on his back for a crossover score.
We’re sure George and the rest of Indy will be penciling in their next meeting against the Cavs.
