With much discussion surrounding his position as a Chelsea player this season, Man Utd have finally revealed the signing of Juan Mata for the price of £37.1m. The deal has been in negotiation over the course of this week, but today the Spanish player visited United’s training ground to complete the all-important medical, off the back of facing a tough time being selected by José Mourinho in recent months. The player becomes only the second major signing for David Moyes as manager, after obtaining the services of Marouane Fellaini upon his arrival at the club.
There’s a strong chance Mata will be making his first start in red against Cardiff this coming Tuesday, which will coincidently be taking place at Old Trafford.
