Julio Jones Goes Beast Mode for 300-Yard Game

juliojones

It took 12 receptions for Julio Jones to eclipse 300 yards receiving for the day. The crazy part is that’s what he ended up with. Exactly 300, like the label. The 12th catch also became one of the biggest plays of the day, a 75-yard touchdown down the sidelines to give the Atlanta Falcons the definitive 41-26 lead against the Carolina Panthers.

Jones’ 300-yard day is a new franchise record by a wide receiver, one he beat himself. His previous high was 259 yards, set against the Green Bay Packers in 2014.

Today’s stats also make Jones the sixth receiver in the history of the NFL to have at least 300 yards in one game, with the record being 336 yards, by Willie “Flipper” Anderson.

If you had him in fantasy this week, he probably singlehandedly won you the game.

FINAL: ATL 48 | CAR 33
