Andy reid and chiefs save their season to avoid 1-3 start

Heading into the final game for week 4 action, we were assuming the Kansas City Chiefs would have a bad outing, judging from injuries and recent play against real competition. With Jamaal Charles still suffering from a high ankle sprain, we picked the New England Patriots to win in convincing fashion. However, we were wrong, as the Chiefs offense finally saw a spark, led by 300 first-half yards of production. With Jamaal scoring the team’s first two TDs, Tom Brady and his receiving core would soon see their worst career game, possibly ever.

New England finished with only 75 total rushing yards and was forced to rely on the air throughout the game. That would soon lead to two questionable (and might we add) horrendous interceptions that were extremely un-Brady like. With the Arrowhead crowd breaking a record for the becoming the loudest stadium in the world at 142.2 dB, they were relieved their season was saved by the middle of the third quarter, when the Chiefs took a 27-0 lead.

Back-up QB, Jimmy Garoppolo was even incorporated into the game in the 4th quarter after Brady got benched and quickly went 3-4 in his first series to hit Rob Gronkowski for a touchdown. The Patriots knew this game was out of their control, as Bill Belichick had allowed 300 yards in a half for the first time ever.

Things don’t get easier for New England, having a tough Sunday Night prime time match-up against the Cincinnati Bengals this week. The Chiefs now win their second consecutive game to improve to .500, with a Sunday afternoon game on the road against the San Francisco 49ers.
