Game 4 Is Gonna Be Good
To say there is bad blood between the Washington Wizards and the Boston Celtics is an understatement. Just in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference semifinals matchup between these two squads were a total of eight technical fouls and three ejections.
One of those ejections went to Kelly Oubre Jr., who went 0-100 after a hard screen set by Kelly Olynyk in the second quarter. Olynyk dropped Oubre to the floor and young Kelly reacted and went straight at his neck for the foul. Oubre somehow managed to drop Olynyk to the floor as well and a shoving match between players commenced.
Officials viewed the replay and determined that Olynyk deserved an Offensive Foul and Oubre would get a Flagrant Foul 2, meaning an automatic ejection.
He wasn’t the only one, though. Terry Rozier and Brandon Jennings were going at it all game. Fouling each other and talking shit to each other all throughout their time on the floor, to the point they both assesed one too many technical fouls and both got thrown out.
And that’s not even counting the shoving match Ian Mahinmi and Jonas Jerebko had or the two technical fouls both coach Scott Brooks and coach Brad Stevens got.
When it was all said and done, the Wizards too home the win, but these emotions will certainly carry over for the remainder of the series. Shit, they might get worse.
Isaiah Thomas only had 13 points in the game and Washington managed to snap that 6-game playoff winning streak Boston had going after starting out 0-2 in the last round.
John Wall had 24 points and 8 assists, with Otto Porter Jr. being the Wizards second-highest scorer with 19 points. Bradley Beal only had 11 points on the night.
