Kevin Durant Responds to Mark Cuban’s “Russell Westbrook Is Not A Superstar” Comments

We all know Mark Cuban has a big mouth and isn’t afraid to speak his mind at any given time, but some comments are best left out of the public. Especially when they will only spark the opposite team to boot your team out of the playoffs for the season.

Before tonight’s game between the Oklahoma City Thunder and Dallas Mavericks, Cuban made some interesting comments about Russell Westbrook, saying he’s not a superstar:

So how did Russ respond? He was one assist away from a triple double. Westbrook finished with 36 points, 12 rebounds and 9 assists on the night. Light work for the Thunder guard.

After the game during the press conference, he had no words to say about what Cuban mentioned before tip-off, but that’s because Kevin Durant jumped in and answered on his behalf. He went as far as saying Mark is “an idiot” and urged Westbrook not to answer.

Then, on the subject of other delusional Mavericks, Russ commented on Charlie Villanueva after some pre-game words. He said he’ll be glad to send him packing out of the playoffs so Charles could prepare in the offseason to sit on the bench for the next season. Ouch.

Word to the wise: It’s probably not a good idea to provoke KD or Westbrook because they will make you pay for it on the court in the worst way.
