After hoisting his MVP trophy during pre-game introductions in front of the home fans, Durant urged the crowd to be loud, dropped the mic and went to WORK. They completely dominated the action against the Los Angeles Clippers, as they led by 7-10 points most of the night. At one point, they had the lead up to 21, coming out with the series tying win 112-101.
Westbrook, who many criticize for his aggressive nature was probably smiling ear to ear in the locker room, with “I told everyone I am nice” written on his forehead. He managed to pick up a triple double tonight with 31 points, 10 assists, and 10 rebounds while shooting 13/22 from the floor. MVP Durant showed everyone why he was the clear cut choice this year by dropping 32 points, 12 rebounds, and falling one assist short of posting a triple double himself with 9 for the game.

The duo left no doubt in anyone’s mind who the better team was tonight and will give them great momentum heading to Los Angeles for Game 3. Chris Paul, who was benched early due to foul trouble contributed 17 points and 11 assists, while Blake Griffin had a slow night with 15 points and 6 rebounds.
They will need more from Sixth Man of the Year Jamal Crawford in Game 3, who had an off night shooting 2-13 and ending with 7 points. This will be a great series as both teams have shown the ability to completely dismantle their opponents when playing their particular brand of basketball. We believe the rest of the series will be highly competitive and will go 7 games, since this is definitely one of the better second round matchups in the playoffs right now, if not the best.
