The real MVP makes his season debut tonight!
Less than week after Russell Westbrook’s return to action, the Oklahoma City Thunder have even more good news for fans today. The 2014 MVP, Kevin Durant is being penciled in to make his much-anticipated return to action tonight. After participating in Monday’s team practice, Scotty Brooks said his superstar was looking much better – in comparison to previous weeks where he had minimal lift. His original October 16th surgery ruled him out 6-8 weeks, as doctors have told him there’s only a 5% chance of him breaking his foot.
After suffering a 3-12 start in the very tough western conference, Westbrook has helped lead the team to consecutive victories last week. The team now has time to play catch-up with their two superstars back, to compliment the role players who received extended play the first month of play. Tonight, they travel down to the Smoothie King Center for a big match-up tonight against fellow powerhouse, New Orleans Pelicans.
