Let the Love sweepstakes begin!

The Kevin Love saga in Cleveland has been one of the most interesting for the Cavs the past season. After being traded from the Minnesota Timberwolves, everyone was screaming championship run with the Big 3 of LeBron James, Kyrie Irving and Love. Things were looking anything but that at the start of the year, with Love struggling to find his game and spot on the team and Kyrie + King James taking over for the squad. It wasn’t until the team traded for Mosgov, Iman Shumpert and J.R. Smith that things started looking up and the Cavs took stride to end the year strong.

Between media rifts with LBJ and playing through injury, Love has always maintained that he would want to come back in a Cavaliers uniform, but now he’s opting out of his $17.6 million contract next season and becoming a free agent on July 1.

After making the playoffs for the first time in his career, the stint came short thanks to a shoulder injury that sidelined him for the rest of the Cavs run to the NBA Finals. Up to this point, there has been no indication that Love will be leaving Cleveland, but teams will definitely be trying to lure him away, offering him max money in free agency. The Los Angeles Lakers, Boston Celtics and Portland Trail Blazers are just some of the teams interested in his services.

The Cavs say the expected this move and will be looking to resign the All-Star forward and try to make another run at the NBA Finals.

Should Kevin Love leave Cleveland to pursue better pastures elsewhere?
