Cavs medical staff future, not present for Love surgery

Wednesday afternoon, Kevin Love underwent successful surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City. The Cavaliers star was initially reported to miss the entire second round of the conference semi-finals against either the Chicago Bulls or Milwaukee Bucks, but trainers and team doctors felt a surgery was needed to have security of health in the future. Love is expected to miss four-to-six months after surgery and will be immediately rehabbing his left arm with team medical staff and physicians over the summer and fall.

While the Cavaliers will now look to LeBron James and Kyrie Irving expanding their game to win a championship this summer, they still have a few more days to rest up before meeting their opponent next round – where J.R. Smith is expected to miss the first two games, following a recent suspension.
