Remember the days where Kevin Love was trying to “fit into” the Cleveland Cavaliers team and he was the outsider in the “Big Three” of LeBron James and Kyrie Irving partnership?
Yeah, those days are long gone.
Tonight against the Portland Trail Blazers, Love found the stroke to start the game, going off for 34 points, including eight threes in the first quarter. For whatever reason, the Blazers were leaving him wide open from beyond the arc and he just kept draining them.
The 34 points were actually a Cavs record and only three points shy from tying the all-time NBA record, which was set by Klay Thompson last January.
K-Love ended with 40 points on the game, but he came close to beating his own personal record of 51 points back in 2012 when he still played for the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Meanwhile, King James was out on the court putting up triple-doubles. It was a 31 point, 10 rebounds and 13 assist effort by LeBron. Light work in November.
