We introduced you to Kiwi Gardner a few weeks ago through his new vlog series, “THE TRUTH,” but in episode two you get to hear what happened to his failed college career after being recruited as one of the top prospects. Although he did everything the NCAA asked him to when he landed at Providence, he did not play one game all season because of eligibility issues. He took his game to Midlands College the following year, but that wasn’t the level of play he wanted to be in after leaving the Big East conference.
Ultimately, he has put the ball and his own fate in his own hands, making the move to LA after advice from his high school coach, and has skipped the last two years of college to enter the 2013 NBA Draft. He knows it’s a longshot, but is determined to make his dream come true. Basketball is all he knows, and he hasn’t given up on his ultimate goal.
