Warriors breathe a sigh of relief
After being diagnosed with a concussion and the team saying he was out indefinitely, Klay Thompson has completed the league’s concussion protocol and has been cleared to play in Game 1 of Thursday’s NBA Finals.
Thompson returned to practice Monday and was confident he would be cleared to play, and by Tuesday the team announced that he was indeed ready to go.
The topic surrounding concussions has been a hot one in the NBA as of late and we can bet the league will be looking into tweaking their current rules for clearing players to come back into the game after suffering a head injury, as well as the protocol they need to pass in order to play again.
The Golden State Warriors will play the Cleveland Cavaliers at Oracle Arena on Thursday at 6pm EST.
