There you have it K.D.
Earlier this week, before the U.S. Men’s International Team flew down to Brazil for the 2016 Olympics, Klay Thompson sat down with media before his next championship run with Coach K.
One reporter asked what did he think of Kevin Durant arriving to Golden State earlier this summer and how the team will coexist with only one ball. Thompson simply said, “I ain’t sacrificing shit,” – which drew up an immediate flag from on-lookers on potential egos within the team.
While many believe this won’t be the case because Klay isn’t ball dominant, both shooters should essentially complement each other for penetration-catch-and-shoot plays. Take a look at the Splash Brother below and let us know if you think Durant joining the Warriors will mess up their chemistry.
Klay on Durant joining Warriors:
“I feel kind of disrespected that people keep using the term sacrifice to describe me and describe us. We all want to see each other do well. But I’m not sacrificing shit, because my game isn’t changing. I’m still going to try to get buckets, hit shots, come off screens. I want to win and have a fun time every game we play.Durant’s response:
“We want Klay to stay Klay. We don’t want him to change. The games dictate where the shots come from. I may shoot 12 shots one night; Klay may shoot eight or nine shots one night, and Steph may shoot 25 shots one night. And it could be a different flow another night.”[Source]
