Klay Thompson is an all-star & this dunk compliments his stats!
At 27-5, the Golden State Warriors sit atop the NBA’s highest winning percentage, as all-star break is nearing. Led by the league’s premier back-court tandem in Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, Golden State was host to Western Conference rival Oklahoma City Thunder, for a Monday Night national game on NBA TV.
Before tip-off, OKC learned they had acquired shooting guard Dion Waiters in the three-team blockbuster deal with the New York Knicks and Cleveland Cavaliers. Whether their focus was on the arrival of a new starter was the cause of their 26-point blowout to the Warriors, Klay Thompson made sure he left his imprint on the game.
With Kevin Durant struggling horrifically from the field, shooting 3-16, Klay would add him to a special picture for the evening at the start of the 2nd half. Thompson would squeak past three defenders at the top of the key, with Durant falling victim last for a posterization. The Warriors now have consecutive victories against their rival Thunder, which will definitely be something they can use heading towards to the post-season with confidence.
