Has James Dolan lost his mind? We don’t completely know the answer to that question, but his behavior is suggesting that maybe it’s time for him to chill out.
The often criticized owner of the New York Knicks, handled the team giving up a double digit lead the other night rather strangely. He didn’t talk to his GM or coaches after the game, nor did he try to talk to some of his players. The crazy bastard ordered the Knicks City Dancers to stop their usual in-game routine, because he was so mad at how the team was playing! Again, somehow he related the team’s dance crew, to how horrible the Knicks were playing on the basketball court. Crazy, right?
This is just another case as to why the New York Knicks are unlike any other team in sports.
Dolan has become such a hands-on owner — figuratively speaking — that, according to a source, he doesn’t want the dancers dancing. Crazy, right? The same guy who wanted creative input on the dancers’ outfits (and he’s good at it) apparently ordered that the girls’ roles be reduced to mostly throwing T-shirts into the crowd. They performed maybe one routine on Sunday.
