Kobe Bryant, who’s been aggressively taking the necessary steps in to repair his Achilles, sat down with Dave McMenamin to discuss his current time lime from his injury. Kobe’s just come off crutches this week and is regaining his strength to walk without them or a heel lift. His plan is to aim for the season-opener in November for a return, but has a long journey ahead. Bryant went on to speak about his career feeling comfortable (and maybe content) with his career.
He then spoke candidly on being a big brother to league guiding the younger talent, to give them the “secrets of the game” with Durant and Westbrook being a few. The interview closes out with Dave bringing up Dwight Howard’s upcoming (annual) free agency fiasco nearing in three weeks, which the Houston Rockets are the favorites to land the big man; but Kobe plans to have the final work and convince him to stay put in Los Angeles.
