One of the longest running myths in sports and basketball lore was that if Kobe Bryant didn’t go straight from high school to the NBA he was going to attend Duke. As of today that rumor can officially be thrown to the bushes. Last night while speaking at a charity event Kobe revealed that he was indeed leaning towards going to play at North Carolina rather than Duke. We really can’t fathom the god Kobe playing in an UNC uniform!
When asked why he wanted to play at North Carolina, Bryant replied “Vince Carter, I wanted to play against him, every single day.” Vinsanity and Kobe would have been one hell of a backcourt for the Tar Heels to say the least.
