In this year’s NBA Draft there are two runaway top picks going No. 1 and No. 2: Ben Simmons and Brandon Ingram. The rest of the class is considered deep, but there’s a slight drop off after the top two picks, according to draft experts. Among those lingering in the Top 5 is Providence point guard Kris Dunn, who is considered one of the best at his position coming out of college.
If you weren’t too familiar with the Connecticut native, this clip should give you a good idea of how he grew up and what made him strive to strive at Providence.
In the video, Kris takes the cameras to his childhood home, explains why he ended in New London in the first place and explores some of his favorite parts of the city, like the basketball court he would always play at and a food spot he loves eating at.
Mock drafts have Dunn going to point guard needy teams like the Minnesota Timberwolves and New Orleans Pelicans, but it’s really a neck and neck race between him and Buddy Hield.
