Kristaps Porzingis Hit A Clutch Buzzer Beater That Didn’t Count

THEY WAIVED IT OFF!!

Every single game, Kristaps Porzingis has given us something to talk about and tonight’s road match against the Charlotte Hornets is no different. In fact, it’s even more lit than what we’ve seen previously. Yeah, we didn’t think it would be possible.

With time winding down in the game, the New York Knicks needed a stop to send the game into overtime. Unfortunately, they gave up a crucial basket to Cody Zeller down low that gave the Hornets a 95-93 lead with .6 on the clock. The crowd in Charlotte went absolutely bezerk when the shot went down. It left the Knicks with a catch-and-shoot situation that rarely ever ends in a win.

Enter GODZINGIS. The rookie who has mastered the art of put-back dunks and is also Mr. Clutch.

With absolutely nobody guarding him (the Hornets really left the 7-footer who drains three’s like a guard wide open), a simple in-bounds pass was all it took for Kristaps to get off an uncontested shot — AND IT WENT IN! Unlucky for New York, it was waived off after they found he didn’t beat the buzzer. The ball was still on his fingertips when the clock struck 0:00.

As you can see from the picture below, all he needed was .1 to rise to GOD levels.
