Kyrie Irving to Make Season Debut against Philadelphia 76ers

After suffering a fractured left kneecap during the NBA Finals last June, Kyrie Irving is set to finally make his season debut. The Cleveland Cavaliers have maintained a first place record in the Eastern Conference and have been tested in recent weeks through limited players available – as well as LeBron James having obvious fatigue. Irving was sidelined for the first 23 games of the season after recovering from surgery, and was finally cleared for full contact just last week.

Kyrie will play in limited minutes, initially, which we’ll get a first look at the star point guard at home against the Philadelphia 76ers. With Iman Shumpert still suffering a groin injury the against the Boston Celtics, Irving back Sunday afternoon couldn’t have come at a better time.

This Friday, the Cavs will play a Christmas Day game against the defending champion Warriors, as we’re sure Kyrie has had this game on his mind for the last six months.
