How the Lakers Are Recruiting Paul George to Come to Los Angeles

As Brian Windhorst of ESPN put it, this NBA offseason is a bunch of dominoes falling that could reshape the entire landscape, depending on which ones land first.

Paul George is one of these large pieces that people have been waiting to hear from, in term of his long-term future. Will he stay in Oklahoma City and try to make it work with Russell Westbrook? Could he be lured by the potential of the young Philadelphia 76ers squad to contend in the Eastern Conference? Will he finally come home and play for his hometown Los Angeles Lakers?

Until we hear from the man himself, Sports Illustrated apparently leaked the pitch the Lake Show are throwing at PG13. It will be accompanied by a video that could be voiced over by someone like Jamie Foxx (not Denzel Washington or Morgan Freeman).

“TWO DREAMS”

When you were just a kid

In your room
Dreaming from Palmdale

We were dreaming too.

While you dreamt, we built – built for your arrival

And while we dreamt, you built too
Becoming one of the world’s greatest.

Life’s most powerful dream are the one we realize ourselves.

The ones that turn us into legends.
That kid from Palmdale always knew it
Now the world will, too

At first thought, was this one Kobe Bryant’s unreleased poems they’re using?

The Thunder have the most money to offer, considering they can give him that 5-year SUPER MAX contract, compared to the 4-years the Lakers can put on the table. It’ll be interesting to see if he sticks to OKC, is lured by the bright lights of L.A. or tries his hand at a young Philly squad.
