Lance Stephenson has had a crazy couple of days since being snubbed from the NBA All-Star team. This included dropping a triple double on the night the teams were announced, and accidentally dunking on a referee in a game against the Nets. Lance kept the momentum moving Tuesday against the Hawks, when he was on a fast break and decided to take it himself to the hole.
The only issue for Lance, was two Hawks defenders in his way that made him turn his body and throw up a ridiculous circus shot; that somehow bounced off the highest part of the backboard and went through the hoop. We are not exactly sure how Lance pulled this one off; but he payed the price for the bucket, as he had to leave the game with a back injury that was sustained on this play. Too bad we won’t be seeing this kind of excitement from Lance during All-Star weekend in New Orleans.
