Fitzgerald to retire in Arizona

Although his play regressed last year thanks to the unfortunate circumstances surrounding the quarterbacks out in Arizona, Larry Fitzgerald has decided to stay with the Cardinals for at least the next two seasons. According to general manager Steve Keim during a press conference on Tuesday, the organization has locked up Fitz for a four-year contract, that is guaranteed for two years.

The move will free up $13 million in cap space in 2015 for Arizona, as well as pay Fitzgerald $11 million in the next two seasons.

The star wide reciever has been with the Cardinals for 11 seasons, and even though he hasn’t caught for over 1000 yards in the past three years, he plans to retire in Arizona.
