Last Night’s Dodgers & Diamondbacks Game Turned Into A Brawl On The Diamond

One of the more interesting aspects of baseball is the unwritten rule that the players must protect their teammates at all costs. This was seen first hand during the Los Angeles Dodgers and Arizona Diamondbacks game last night. Tensions escalated after Ian Kennedy of the Diamondbacks threw at the head of Dodgers star rookie player Yasiel Puig. Dodgers pitcher Zack Greinke returned the favor, by hitting a Diamondbacks player in the 7th inning and all hell broke loose. Both benches cleared and an all-out brawl ensued.

Not only did the players get involved but the coaches (Mark McGwire seen in the picture above) squared off with a number of people as well. We are sure this will lead to some suspensions, but thankfully nobody was seriously hurt.

Check out the action-packed brawl after the jump.
