Another record in the books
Only 20 players have scored 25,000 points in their careers and tonight, LeBron James has joined good company by reaching the milestone in a 107-100 win over the Philadelphia 76ers.
With the accomplishment, he became the youngest player in the NBA to ever do it (30 years, 307 days old). Kobe Bryant previously held the record at 31 years, 151 days old. King James now joins the likes of Wilt Chamberlain, Michael Jordan, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Dirk Nowitzki, Tim Duncan, and Kevin Garnett — who are all Hall of Fame players and NBA Legends in their own right.
How did James do it? With an alley oop, of course. The game stopped for a brief moment on the next timeout to acknowledge the historic moment and the crowd at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia gave the king a standing ovation as he waved to them in appreciation.
LBJ ended the game with 22 points, 11 assists and 9 rebounds, helping the Cleveland Cavaliers rally in the 4th quarter against the 76ers after losing by as much as 15 points.
