Welcome to the 30K club LeBron James. Against the San Antonio Spurs and at 33 years and 24 days, King James became the youngest player in NBA history to reach the milestone. He’s now on a list that contains NBA Hall-of-Fame legends like Michael Jordan, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Kobe Bryant, Karl Malone, Wilt Chamberlain, and Dirk Nowitzki.
He did to end the first quarter with a mid-jumper over Danny Green, putting the Cavaliers up four points with time running down. After the play, Dwyane Wade came up to him and gave him an emotional hug for the accomplishment.
Bron Bron finished with 28 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. Unfortunately, the Cavs still lost the game, making it 10 out of 13 losses right now.
He still wanted to soak in the moment, though.
“I don’t ever fully appreciate what I do anytime I accomplish something, no matter if it’s a win or a loss. I’m looking forward to the moment when I can be done with the game and I can sit back with my family and my friends and we can drink some wine and talk about all the accomplishments that I had and feats I was able to accomplish.”
