“Everything is sore right now, I’m hurting right now” – LBJ
Under matched, undermanned, counted out and doubted is the current mindset the Cleveland Cavaliers have. LeBron James has shocked the world over the last 6 days with averaging 40 points a game (most all time through 3 games at 123) and a triple double to take a 2-1 series lead over the best team in the league.
While the Golden State Warriors have shot lack luster throughout the entire series (see: 37 points in the first half), LeBron opened up on how his team of gritty players have played with a chip on their shoulder.
In the post-game interview and conversation with his best friend Dwyane Wade, he opened up on how the team’s defense enabled them to take a 20-point lead. Although the King of the league managed to get a few minutes of rest at the start of the 4th quarter, the team quickly saw their lead evaporate – which he also touched on the Warriors catching fire. Matthew Dellavedova’s 20 points, tangibles on getting lose balls, help defense and containing Stephen Curry through the first three quarters were also discussed in the clip above.
