Le’Veon Bell Officially Ruled Out Against Baltimore Ravens

An unfortunate setback for black and yellow

Pittsburgh Steelers star running back Le’Veon Bell will not be playing in this weekend’s AFC Wild Card matchup against the Baltimore Ravens. Bell suffered a hyperextending right knee last Sunday in the Steelers final game of the season, when he took a helmet to the knee from Cincinnati Bengals safety Reggie Nelson. He did not practice at all this week and wasn’t cleared because there was simply not enough time for his injury to heal for their Saturday night matchup. An MRI earlier this week revealed there was no ligament damage to the knee.

The Steelers will enter their first playoff game since 2010 relying on the air attack of Ben Roethlisberger and Antonio Brown, as well as rookie wide receiver Martavis Bryant and tight end Heath Miller to help take them to the next round of the playoffs.

Starting in place of the injured Bell will be rookie Josh Harris and newly signed Ben Tate, plus Dri Archer to carry the load for them in the run game.
