Los Angeles Clippers Acquire Lance Stephenson from Charlotte Hornets

Big lance is head to Hollywood & joins Lob City

After failing to land a mutli-year extension last year with the Indiana Pacers, Michael Jordan has decided to end his plans with for the Lance Stephenson project by trading away his fellow Brooklyn cohort to the Los Angeles Clippers. Since arriving to the Charlotte Hornets during the 2015 season, Lance saw drastic minutes decrease to only 26 a night – including his points back down to single digits. Only starting 25 games this season, whereas starting all 78 games he played last year for the Pacers, Lance’s stock and role quickly diminished severely, as the talented team on paper missed the playoffs with a losing record. According to Mark Stein of ESPN, the Clippers have agreed to trade away Matt Barnes and Spencer Hawes in exchange for the streaking wing-man.

Los Angeles finally reached a milestone with upsetting the world champion San Antonio Spurs in the first round but would eventually lose to the Houston Rockets in the 2nd round. Doc Rivers will now look to incorporate Lance to his upgraded high-powered offense centered around Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and Jamal Crawford.
